HARMONY RETREAT

We’re camping!

This means that everyone will need to bring the following:

• Tent
  • To reserve a tent/ glamping tent at an additional cost, reach out to Ellen (limited supply). You will need to set up and break down what you rent.
• Sleeping bag
• Pad
• Pillows
• Flashlight
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Hat / beanie
• Electrolytes

Extras:

• Camping chairs
• Fun camping lights like string lights
• Cooler for drinks
• Fun outfits / costumes
• Instruments

Get ready to indulge in incredible and mouthwatering creations!

5 Community Meals:

• Friday brunch
• Friday dinner
• Saturday brunch
• Saturday dinner
• Sunday brunch 

Please note:

• The community meals are a shared cost. After the retreat, more info will be shared on the exact contribution per person.
• There is a shared kitchen complete with a 4 burner stove, oven, pots n panz, dishware, and 2 fridges with LIMITED space. Please come with your own sealable coolers and ice. No ice available on the ranch.
• Please wash your own dishes
• Water is potable- stay hydrated! It’s going to be hot during the day. 
• People need to bring their own food for meals and snacks in between. Keep it simple- think festival food- Oatmeal/cereal for breakfast, simple sandwiches and snacks for lunch. Err on the side of less perishable options. 
• Since there is a known presence of animals (bears, raccoons, etc.) in the area, we need to keep food locked away (in provided kitchen spaces or our cars) during the night and not leave things around during the day if possible. It is better not to keep food in coolers unless the coolers are stored in your car. With so many people around, it is unlikely that any animals will try to approach and steal food, but it’s better to be conservative. 

• Communal Kitchen - meals will be prepared here. There are 2 fridges with LIMITED space. Please come with your own coolers. No ice available on the ranch.
• Dance Space (bring comfy dancing shoes - uneven ground)
• Hot Tub (clothing optional)
• 2 - 3 Cuddle/Chill Spaces
• Fire pit - Wood will be processed on site (needs fire safety talk)
• Moon Raft
• Small Creek
• Camp sites
• 2 Showers
• 2 flush toilet, one composting toilet, and 1 Porta-Potty
• Upper and lower parking lot

1. Radical Self Responsibility 

   I intentionally take care of my mind, body, and spirit in my fullest capacity.

2. Community Care

   When I need support, I ask for space to be held. I look out for others if they need support. (Our emotions are welcome here)

3. Leave No Trace

   I pick up after myself and leave each space better than I found it.

4. Party Time

   I make safe choices around the alcohol and substances I choose to partake in. 

5. Co-creation

   I am a co-creator of the retreat and uphold any workshop offerings and/or volunteer shifts I signed up for.

6. Authentic Expression

   I can show up as my most authentic expression. I am free to let my freak flag fly.

7. Respect for Time

   I honor the flow of the retreat by being mindful of time. I do my best to arrive, begin, and end offerings on time so that everyone’s workshops, music, meals, rest, and experiences can be fully supported and respected.

Agreement:
We commit to embracing radical self-responsibility in moments of conflict. This means:

1. Owning Our Part: Acknowledging our role in the situation without deflection, blame, or excuses. We recognize that every conflict provides an opportunity to learn about ourselves and grow.
2. Curiosity Over Defensiveness: Approaching misunderstandings with curiosity and a willingness to understand, rather than defend, our perspective.
3. Speaking from "I": Using "I" statements to express our feelings, needs, and boundaries without projecting assumptions or judgments onto others.
4. Listening to Understand: Fully listening to others, seeking to understand their perspective before responding, even when it's challenging.
5. Seeking Solutions, Not Winners: Prioritizing collaboration and shared outcomes over being "right."
6. Repair with Intention: Committing to repair the relationship when harm has been done, taking accountability for actions or words that may have caused pain.

This agreement centers the principle that lasting resolution comes from the willingness to take responsibility for ourselves while holding space for the experiences of others.
